Story time. I used to never be scared of snakes. Then one day, junior year of high school, my friends and I were fucking around and I jumped off my deck onto the roof of the shed in my backyard. Well, I went straight through the roof and landed on the lawn mower/tons of bags of mulch. It knocked the wind out of me and stunned me so I couldn’t move, and then BAM. Biggest snake I’ve ever seen starts slithering straight towards my private parts, which are about level with the tops of the bags of mulch I’ve fallen between. Pretty sure it was just a garden snake NOW, but back then man was that a scary 10 seconds.

No, I’ll be honest I don’t know my snakes very well. It was about 5 feet long and dark brown. I usually see snakes similar to that around my backyard pretty often so I just assumed garden snake.

Very nice choice in breed, my brother has a ball python (among other breeds) and it’s a great snake.

The snake itself was 80, I ended up buying a new tank and lights and a heating pad and whatnot and that totaled around 300. A plainer snake could be had for cheaper
